Hey, Good Lookin"

While listening to this song by Hank Williams. It definitley has the country feel to it as it's a country song. This song leads to a lot of country songs today of meeting a cute girl, and taking her in a pick up truck or in the case of Hank Williams his hot rod ford, and a two dollar bill. Also in every country song the man knows a spot in the middle of knowhere where they can dance, enjoy some drinks, and get on with it. Hank Williams was a star in country music, and definitley opended it up to the stars of today that look at his music for help, and guidance when making their own songs. Overall I like this song a lot. It has the great classic country sound, and feel that it makes a great song to enjoy, and listen to. Also I like the guitar played throughout the song as it compliments country music really well.

  1. I also like this song mainly for it's simplicity. There isn't any hidden meaning behind it, he just likes this girl and wants to have fun with her. It also has simple musical elements, just his voice and a few instruments so isn't too extravagant or anything. Every time I hear the phrase "What's cookin' good lookin'?" I will definitely be reminded of this song.

  2. It is a very straight forward song of which I can appreciate. A lot of songs have complicated meanings or hidden meanings in the song but this one was just straight to the point. Although I am not a big fan of country music, it was still an enjoyable song to listen to. Thank you for your post it was lovely to read.

  3. I definitely agree with you that this sounds like a very typical country song--hollerin’ at and picking up a girl in whatever his ride may be, taking her out to wherever and just having a good time. Kinda has a “Chatahoochie” by Alan Jackson to me. That being said, I don’t really enjoy this song much. Kinda hurts my ears.
