My Blue Heaven

This weeks post is about Gene Austin's song My Blue Heaven. When I listened to this song it had a very peaceful tone to it  also I like the classic sound of the piano in the background while Austin sings, and that Austin sings with a great voice that fits the song perfectly. Another thing that I got out of it is that the person is living in heaven with his family with the lyrics of "Just Molly and me and baby makes three." Also the setting he creates with the fireplace in a cozy room or how he talks about birds coming back to their families in the nests at the end of the day. In addition to the peaceful tone the song feels very laid back. And talks about a man's blue heaven, and how it could be anything that anyone loves.

Soldiers Joy

Hey guys for my first post I listened to Solider's Joy by Gid Tanner And The Skillet Lickers. When I was listening to this song I liked the fast pace tempo, and how it starts as a happy song in the  beginning, and to me it sounds like a country song, and I like country also the song talks about simple life for example chicken, the dog, and grandpa sitting on a sweet potato vine. But then starts to get dark when hearing about buying Beer, and Morphine to drown out the stress of war a soilder may have or it was used as a coping mechanism with the hard events that they had to go through, also this was the sad realilty of soldiers in the earlier wars when beer and other drugs made them feel relaxed, and was the only way they could enjoy life. Introduction

Hey guys! My name is Anthony Colasuono, i'm from beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada. Im currently a freshman at SUU. I loves sports inclduing golf which I played in high school where I finished with all-conference honors, i'm also a huge Chicago sports fan so if there ever is a moment when you want to talk about sports i'm all ears. Also I love animals espically dogs, and love being outdoors doing actvites such as hiking, fishing, and caming.  My favorite music artist is Elton John, my favorite all of his song are amazing such as I'm still standing, Rocketman, Crocodile Rock, Your song, and espically Don't Go Breaking My Heart. I will post whatever music I catch that I like, and sounds good.
